I've always been fascinated with candle light. It's got it's own flavor... somehow warm and soft... like a blanket fresh out of the dryer.
Pictures with candle light usually take fairly long shutter speeds... which means if you don't want a blurry picture, you must hold perfectly still. Now I know why nobody was smiling in those old west pictures. It's difficult to hold a smile without moving at all for 15 seconds.

I like using a combination of diffused flash and candlelight.

The way the fabric is lit up is rad... is the blue light from the window?

travis, the blue light is actually from my computer screen. and the fabric is my trusty mosquito net.
