During break time, I challenged my student Thomas to build a tower that could touch the globe hanging from the ceiling. He set to work right away... the first tower didn't make it... but after some design suggestions from myself, he quickly accomplished his goal.
Yes, he's standing on the tables.
Yes, he's barefoot.
Yes, he punched down the globe and then promptly stepped on the thumb tack that was holding it up.
Yes, he needed a band aid.
Yes, he was still smiling about his awesome tower.
